Research Associate in Adult Education

in the team of the professorship for adult education with 50% of the regular working time (20 hours per week) for a limited period of time, initially for 3 years.

The Chair of Adult Education focuses on research and teaching upon understanding the conditions, processes and consequences of learning and educational processes in post-compulsory training and education with the aim of development of scientifically tested didactic methods and continuing education programmes.

Your responsibilities:

• Providing teaching for 2 semester hours is a part of your task field
• You will work on your own academic qualification project (your Doctoral dissertation or Habilitation)
• You will support us in all research project activities
• You will be involved in the administration of the professorship

Your profile:

• We expect a successfully completed academic university degree in Educational science (with a focus on Adult education/Continuing education), in Social science disciplines or in Human resource development
• A prerequisite for a Habilitation is completing a Doctoral dissertation
• You have very good knowledge of research methods and possess analytical and presentation skills
• We expect a very good command of German and English
