commencing on 01 July 2026
We offer a permanent full-time position (40 hours per week).
The position is associated with the Photonic Nanomaterials Research Group (https://www.nanomaterials.uni-jena.de), which investigates the fundamental optical properties and potential applications of resonant photonic nanostructures. We combine numerical optimization, nanofabrication, hybridization with functional materials, and optical characterization techniques aiming to control the emission, propagation, and absorption of light and all its properties at the nanoscale.
Together with this team, you ensure the scientific coordination of the nanofabrication facilities and significantly support coordinated projects of the group, such as in the IRTG 2675 "Tailored metasurfaces" (https://www.asp.uni-jena.de/irtg2675) or in the SFB 1375 "Non-linear optics down to atomic scales" (https://www.noa.uni-jena.de/).
The position is permanent.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).
In principle, the job is also suitable for part-time employment. The extent to which a part-time request can be granted, in particular with regard to the location and scope of the part-time work, will be assessed on the basis of the needs of the service.
