The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration seeks to fill the position of a

Postdoc in Experimental or Behavioural Economics

commencing on 1. March 2024. The position is full-time (40 hours per week, 100 %), initially limited until 28.02.2027, with a possible extension for another 1.5 years.

Your responsibilities:

    The position comes with the standard teaching load of 4 hours per week (for approximately 30 weeks per year) in a field related to experimental economics, behavioural economics, empirical economics or a quantitative topic. The working and teaching place is Jena, with some possibility for remote work on non-teaching days. Candidates are supposed to develop an own scientific qualification project.

Your profile:

    Candidates should have a completed dissertation in experimental economics, behavioural economics or a closely related field. Candidates should also hold a Master degree or equivalent. Candidates have a strong publication record in the field of experimental or behavioural economics or potential to publish in international, peer-reviewed journals. They have excellent English skills (due to teaching obligations). German language skills are not a requirement. Teaching experience in the area of experimental or behavioural economics or econometrics is beneficial.

The advertised position is initially limited to a maximum of three years with the possibility of an extension for another 1.5 years. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). In principle, the job is also suitable for part-time employment. The extent to which a part-time request can be granted, in particular with regard to the location and scope of the part-time work, will be assessed on the basis of the needs of the service.
