The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration seeks to fill the position of a
commencing on April 1, 2023, or later. We offer a full-time position (40 hours a week), which is initially limited to two years but may be extended based on the availability of resources.
The Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration strives to produce excellent research that offers new insights into policy-relevant problems. The department’s research areas include topics in financial economics, innovation economics, microeconomics, experimental economics, public economics, international economics, and macroeconomics. The department collaborates with renowned national and international partners and has close ties to the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH). Based in the Economics Department, the Macroeconomics Research Group conducts high-quality research, focusing on business cycles and monetary and fiscal policy. Furthermore, the group teaches a broad portfolio of Bachelor’s and Master’s courses at the University of Jena. In addition, we offer a major in quantitative macroeconomics.
