Within the framework of the BMWK-funded project Baselipid we seek to fill the position of a

Postdoctoral Researcher

commencing on October 1st 2024.

We offer a full-time position (40 hours per week) as a fixed-term position until 31.12.2025. The project may be elongated.

Your responsibilities:

    • You will work on interdisciplinary research projects within the field Baselipid
    • You are responsible for Analysis of lipid nanoparticles by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and asymmetric field flowfield fractionation (AF4)
    • Intense collaboration with project partners from Chemistry, Medicine and Pharmacy
    • Generate scientific output in terms of patents, publications, posters, presentations, including participation at international conferences
    • Guidance of Bachelor/Master students and/or interns

Your profile:

    • A doctorate’s degree in Chemistry or Polymer Sciences (or a similar field of research)
    • A solid background in characterization of nanostructures
    • Experience in TEM, AF4 or light-scattering techniques is of advantage
    • Enthusiasm to play an active role in the interdisciplinary research team
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

The advertised position is (initially) limited according to the duration of the project, i.e. until December 31st, 2025. The project may be elongated.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).
In principle, the job is also suitable for part-time employment. The extent to which a part-time request can be granted, in particular with regard to the location and scope of the part-time work, will be assessed on the basis of the needs of the service.
