The Department of English and American Studies is looking to fill the position of
part-time (50%/20 hours per week) with a fixed-term contract for three years and an optional extension to six years.
The department has research interests ranging from the beginnings of English literature in the Anglo-Saxon period to the contemporary Anglophone novel. The specific research interests of the team led by Prof. Dr. Stephan Karschay are scandal and censorship; visual culture; ecocriticism; literature and the scientific imagination in the 19th century; the literature and culture of the Victorian fin de siècle; the Gothic; crime and detection; the history of the Anglophone novel.
The advertised position is as a fixed-term position for 3 years.
